Proposed Uncontrolled Crossing
Following concerns from local parents with regard to the speed of through traffic on The Street, that poses a risk to pupils and parents during school arrival and egress, a proposal is being designed to introduce a traffic calming measure outside the school.
A traffic calming proposal has now been prepared to help limit through speeds at this location and assist pedestrian movements. It is proposed to have a raised table with a 4m crossing area for parents and pupils, near the school entrance between the entry/exit points to the surgery opposite, as shown in the drawing.attached.
