Arriva Bus Changes
From July 12 there are number of service changes on Arriva. Please find attached a summary of the changes affecting all services, and I have listed below in particular the changes on the 191 service.
There are only minor timetable changes on the 133 service.
191 Chatham – Rochester – Strood – Hoo – Allhallows – Grain
This service will be completely revised:
Buses every twenty minutes between Hoo (hourly from Hoo Marina) and Chatham for the main part of the day on Mondays to Saturdays
Beyond Chatham, buses will run to the universities, Dockside Outlet Centre, Pier Road and Gillingham Strand, giving new links across Chatham from Grain, Hoo and Wainscott.
Buses will continue to run hourly to Grain but with ‘standard’ and ‘fast’ variations. The ‘standard’ journeys will serve all the villages along the route but the ‘fast’ journeys will run direct via Ratcliffe Highway between Lower Stoke and Hoo. The morning buses from Grain towards Hoo and Chatham will take the standard route and will go direct back to Lower Stoke and Grain. The afternoon buses from Grain will run direct to from Lower Stoke to Hoo and will return from Chatham via the villages. During the middle of the day, the two routes will be alternated in each direction.
No change to Sunday times or route on the 191 and 193 routes.
In summary,
The 0629 from Grain will be extended to Dockside Outlet Centre, arriving at 0745 and a 191 from Wainscott will start at 0725 through to Dockside Outlet at 0800, but no further 191 will go via Medway City Estate due to low numbers and no return journey (as current) is available in the afternoon from Medway City Estate.
An additional stopping service will be provided from Grain to Chatham in the afternoon.

1521 – from Grain serving all villages
1635 – from Hoo Marina serving all stops
1659 – from Grain serving Lower Stoke then fast to Hoo.
1739 – from Grain serving all villages.
1843 – from Hoo Marina serving all stops
1858 – from Grain serving Lower Stoke then fast to Hoo
Hoo St Johns Road will be served every 20 minutes during the day and hourly in the evenings (as present)

Chatham to Peninsula
20 minute service to Hoo St John Road throughout the day
Buses at 0825, 0928,1028,1128,1228,1328, 1428, 1608, 1708, 1748 to Hoo Marina
Buses at 0848, 0948, 1048, 1248 will run fast from Hoo to Lower Stoke and Grain
Buses at 0625, 0739,1148, 1348, 1508, 1548,1648,1728 1809 will stop at all destinations to Grain
Evening service is hourly to Hoo (as present)

20 minute service to Hoo St John Road throughout the day
Buses at 0642, 0833, 0933, 1033, 1133, 1233, 1333, 1433, 1513, 1543, 1643 and 1743 to Hoo Marina
Buses at 0853, 1053, 1253 will run fast from Hoo to Lower Stoke and Grain
Buses at 0953, 1153, 1353, 1453, 1613, 1713, and 1813 will stop at all destinations to Grain
Evening service is hourly to Hoo (as present)
Sunday service is unchanged
