Village Hall Refurbishment Update on Phase Two July 2013
This is the second update since the builders, B W May arrived on site.
Works to the roof well under way and the new brickwork to the front is finished. Electricians have been in and working on the wiring that is required. Changes have been made at the last minute to accommodate additional requirements for both the Doctors and Building Control which will delay completion by a couple of weeks.
Ray Collins has been very instrumental in liaising with the Builders, the NHS and our Architects, Clay Architecture Ltd, to ensure issues are raised as quickly as possible and resolved so that any delay is kept to a minimum. Ray has also got the working party ready and primed to go in for the painting that we will need to do before the finishing touches are carried out. The paint and gear has been ordered and by carrying out so much of the work ourselves this has saved thousands from the budget and the Hall Committee are extremely grateful for all volunteers time and efforts. It really is appreciated
