William Stockbridge Emergency Closure of Dux Court One Response to Lewis Wellard Sue Wellard says: December 29, 2015 at 4:03 am I am the grand daughter of Lewis Willard whose photograph appears on your website. We live in Corringham in Essex. Lewis and his wife Annie (new Lane) moved to Tilbury, we believe in the late 29s/30s to work at the Van den Berths and Jurgens factory in West Thurrock. However although they lived in Essex there were many trips back to visit family in Kent. We also had relations living in Christmas Lane (Emma Croucher and family) and her son, George Croucher who was farm manager at nearby Decoy Farm. We would love to see the plaque and photograph in they all. Would it be possible to arrange a visit? Also we are researching our family tree and recently visited the church in High Halstow where we found some Willard graves. These were very well tended so wonder if there are any Willard relatives still living in the village? Any help goh could provide would be very welcome. Thank you in anticipation of your assistance Kind regards Sue Wellard Reply Leave a Reply Cancel reply Your email address will not be published.
