Presentation to Parish Councillors

In October there was a presentation given to Parish Councillors showing them the history of the HUGH Fund, the refurbishment programme that was carried out as well as the governance of the hall committee. It was a celebration of what the community as a whole achieved to turn the Village Hall into the best community facility on the peninsula.

This presentation was given to the Parish Council in October explaining how the Village Hall Committee went about refurbishing the Village Hall.

High Halstow Village Hall – Plans For Phase Three

This phase includes details for the new kitchen, new bar , new main entrance and the stairs for upstairs

They will also be on display at the March Parish Council meeting on March 11th in The Memorial Hall from 8.00pm as well as the Boot Fair in The Village Hall on Saturday 21st March from 9.00 March 2015

Veolia Environmental Trust

The Village Hall Committee are please to add to the wall the plaque which acknowledges their wonderful support and contribution for the Village Hall Refurbishment Phase Two from Veolia Environmental Trust

It was put up for all to see against the original plaque some 50 years old and with this contribution should be long way to see the hall standing a further 50 years November 2013

Village Hall Refurbishment Update on Phase Two July 2013

This is the second update since the builders, B W May arrived on site.

Works to the roof well under way and the new brickwork to the front is finished. Electricians have been in and working on the wiring that is required. Changes have been made at the last minute to accommodate additional requirements for both the Doctors and Building Control which will delay completion by a couple of weeks. Village Hall Refurbishment Update on Phase Two June 2013

The building works for the above are well and truly underway which will see the biggest phase of the refurbishment to the Hall. The whole front of the Hall will be completely refurbished and will include the following:

• New roof over the front
• New Toilets
• New Doctors Surgery
• New Waiting Room
• Space for the new Kitchen (to be completed at a later stage)
• Additional storage
